America, Americans

When terror strikes

DHS sets bans

They restrict our right

Until we fight

America, Americans

America, Americans

If they chain our lands

Protect Ange’s cans

Bombs blow bridges off

Darryl’s stabbed and caught

America, Americans

America, Americans

Sever haircut lady is a bitch

She’s responsible for our whole sitch

Dressed like vampires we will strike them back

Xnet will help us mount the attack

America, Americans

America, Americans

Barbara Stratford can get us to the press

But we must watch out for the DHS

Dressed like bums out on the street

We can prepare for their defeat

America, Americans

America, Americans

The Bay will never be the same

Just think this all started with a game

Then they tortured us into insanity

But we showed them real fine and dandy

America, Americans

For my original piece of fan fiction I chose to create a song. I felt that this song would incorporate many subtle aspects of the book, as well as capitalize on one major theme I noticed. The theme I chose was that Marcus and his coconspirators are Americans; who by definition will fight injustice in order to maintain their rights. Just as the founding fathers fought British injustice, these young people saw things they knew were wrong and would not stand for them. That is why my chant has the theme of Americans, because Marcus and his friends were working to protect the rights of themselves as well as those who would not protect their own rights.
