website reflection

From Liu's article, I learned that hypertexts need to state their opinion more explicitly than written text does. Also, electronic media is more useful for scanning, while paper-based media is more useful in "actual consumption of information." Nielsen's article explained that on average, people onmly read about 20% of what is on each page and only 4% of the people in their studies stayed on a webpages for more than 10 minutes. People like to read several sections of horizontal writing and then move to a vertical piece of text and people usually just skip over the introduction. Finally, there should be a home link on every page and there should be navigation bars at both the top and bottom of long pages.
My webpage sucks because I use stupid terms like "home," my text is justified, and on some monitors, the reader is required to scroll horizontally.
