Critique

Nelson's website is very precise and to the point. He accurately represents the different stake holders (i.e. fast food restaurants) of his topic: obesity. The photos he uses are especially compelling and vivid, and the layout of the website is very organized and legible. I especially like the way he uses colors and fonts for his titles, and he presents multiple ways to access pages. Overall, a very neat and well-made site.

Mike Silveira's website on modern-day technology is brilliantly clever and compelling. His design hints at the famous Facebook layout with its colors and use of events and statuses; the different writing styles on each page definitely make it enjoyable to navigate through the site. Readers can easily read and navigate around the site, and the pages are not overwhelming to look at. I like his use of photos, however, many of them seem to be too small and out of focus. Overall, Mike produced a compelling site and presented an interesting topic.

The first page of Austin's site is incredibly captivating with the dark background photo, the title, and the font; it makes the reader want to continue reading. In the rest of his site, he uses many colors and fonts, which definitely add a cool effect to the page, but sometimes it can be distracting when trying to read the body of the page. I like how he presents different ways to navigate through the site to get to different pages, however, some links on some pages didn't always work. His writing style and the way he presents the information and different stake holders is compelling; some sentences, especially when referring to the kids, are especially moving, Overall, Austin created an intriguing and fascinating site.
