Yippies-FSM-Punk

What the Yippies, the Free Speech Movement, and punk rock all have in common is their defiance against government and authority. They all broke a mold, or a commonly accepted trend. And most people consider their actions to have bettered the world. They relate to the book in that the book is all about the struggle between youth and authority. All three of the aforementioned topics were led by the younger generation. Marcus revolts against the DHS just as the other organizations revolted against their common authorities.
