Topic Proposal

For my project I intend to focus on terrorism and the many different methods of terrorism used in the novel. While reading the story, I took note that a common theme was an individual or a group of individuals trying to implement fear in another in order to get them to cooperate. In my project I would like to compare and contrast terrorism to other ways in which people reason with others. In the story, sometimes terrorism is used, sometimes it is not. Sometimes it is effective, other times it is not. I intend to analyze as accurately as possible how often terrorism works, both in the novel and in the real world, as well as what implies that terrorism is successful.
