After the fiasco in Harry's fourth year when Barty Crouch Jr. posed as Mad Eye Moody as their professor in Defense Against the Dark Arts, the Ministry of Magic installed a horrible shrew to teach the children of Hogwarts LIES that He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named had not returned to power that night in the graveyard (RIP Cedric Diggory). This is similar to Little Brother because their friendly history teacher was removed after allowing and prompting a controversial discussion on rights and freedom. The new teacher was assigned to that position (and was also sickeningly sweet like Dolores Umbrigde) to teach the children what the government wanted them to know, rather than the truth. Although the new teacher in Little Brother did not make Marcus write lines in his own blood, she does send him to the principal's office where he was suspended for merely stirring the pot and speaking his mind. Harry Potter leads those students that believe the truth in secret lessons in the Room of Requirement similar to how Marcus leads a youth revolution on the Xnet. Fun fact: Harry gets Cho Chang, Marcus gets Ange (but with much less swagger).
