Yippie is a political movement that fought the status norm. They were better known for there theatrical and politically themed pranks. The Free Speech Movement was a student political movement in which students protested that the school gave them the right to talk about politics. They demanded there freedom of speech and academic freedom. This is related because Marcus could not talk about politics in his class when that new teacher came in.
Punk tock is a music genre. This genre generally included anti establishment and often political lyrics. This is related to Marcus because of Trudy Doo and the Rave.
