Free Speech

The Free Speech Movement occured on Berkley's campus when students felt that their first ammendment rights were being violated when their on-campus political party was disband. Many of the students argued and staged other nonviolent protests in order to recieve the rights that they felt they deserved. Like those people in the book who decided to fight back, the Berkley students found our that it is not always an easy struggle.
