Emma Goldman was an anarchist. She was thrown in jail on multiple occasions for inciting riots as well as illegally disrupting information. The reason the author added her and made her a roll model (buying the poster) for Marcus was she represented some of the things Marcus tried to represent. Marcus just like Emma was disrupting information that was unsavory to the masses. They both want freedom of speech and the end of the corrupt government who are hurting and subjugating the people they are supposedly working for.
Anarchism is the philosophy that focuses on the failures of the government to do what is necessary for the people they are meant to serve by being harmful and undesirable. They promote a stateless society where government has no say in the way they interact and live. This is related because Marcus wants the government to stop taking away his rights and privacies. A lot of people are mad about the intrusion of the DHS.
Anarcha-Feminism was inspired by Emma Goldman and it is the belief that Anarchism and Feminism are within the same boundaries. That in anarchist struggle to have no ruler and fighting a higher power is just the same as feminism. The relation is the connection of Marcus feelings towards the DHS and his new inspired interest in Emma Goldman which represents many of the Anarchism and Feminism themes.
