Emma Goldman- Emma Goldman is a famous anarchist that has written many speeches and made many statements on her beliefs. She ties into little brother because she resembles the rebellious youth spirit that Marcus and his friends show. She felt that stands for the liberation of the human mind from the dominion of religion; the liberation of the human body from the dominion of property; liberation from the shackles and restraint of government.

Anarchism - Anachism is the belief that authority is unnecessary as well as harmful. It restricts individuals from become themselves. One of Emma Goldmans says was "I don't care if a man's theory for tomorrow is correct," she once wrote. "I care if his spirit of today is correct.". This ties with the book because throughout the first few chapters of the book Marcus wanted to satisfy the now and never really thought about the consequences.
