In his article, Liu writes about how people read differently in this generation of new media. Digital media has led to an information explosion, allowing people to read more in less time. It is also beneficial for people with disabilities because sounds and images can be expressed.
Nielsen discusses the technique people use when reading digital media. Because readers are busy and want the most information as possible, they scan the pages, usually in an "F" pattern. With this pattern, only about 20% of the page is actually read.
Jerz presents the necessity of organized navigation in hypertexts. I found it interesting that navigation tools should be accessible at the top and the bottom of pages, giving access to readers and browsers alike.
And here are three reasons why my site sucks:
1. I have a "Welcome to..." on my home page
2. I mix text colors and sizes on my pages
3. My site doesn't look the same in different browsers.
