So.. seeing as how Dreamweaver STILL won't let me "put" my website up, I'm just posting everything on here:
Scene by Scene outline
Four years later, Van, now 21, sitting by herself at Dolores Park looking pensive, a little sad. Sits there for a while, camera pans sort of around the scene. She gets up, walks away out of the shot.
Van, at a payphone, talking in a distressed tone. She hangs up and walks away.
Coffee shop, Van sitting by herself, Jolu and Darryl walk in, order coffee, look at each other awkwardly and sit down at Van’s table. They look around awkwardly, somewhat concerned, and then start to talk in hushed tones. They sit there all afternoon, planning.
Van’s apartment. Van and Jolu at one computer on a programming website talking about how dangerous Marcus has become and because of that how difficult it’s going to be to carry out the plan. Darryl brings up Ange, how she could possibly be help, that even though they were still together she was starting to distance herself from him. Van tells Darryl to call her immediately so they can get the plan going.
Darryl walks to a different room in the apartment, dials Ange’s phone number and takes a deep breath. She answers, he hesitates as she says hello. She says hello again and he starts to talk. The conversation is full of hesitations and concern, but Darryl successfully convinces her to join their trio. He gives her the address and says he’ll see her the next day.
Late afternoon. Introduce Ange, looking exhausted and worried, walking to Van’s apartment. She looks around, obviously very concerned. She knocks three times. Van opens the door and hurries her in. Once the door is closed the two hug and she rushes Ange into the office where Darryl and Jolu are busy at work. Van asks Darryl to fill Ange in and she returns to work with Jolu.
Time passes, it’s late at night, and Jolu and Van hurry and wake up Ange and Darryl and announce that it’s done. They send the link to Ange via the X-net on an anonymous e-mail and tell Ange that it’s all up to her at this point. She gives the group a sad smile and says that she’ll call them when it’s all over.
Show Ange walking into a massive skyscraper, obviously Marcus’s headquarters. The place is swarming with VampMobbers and Ange starts to get nervous. Second guessing herself, she turns around but remembers the importance of what she has to do and goes back in. Everyone knows who she is, gets many hellos, lots of respect. She goes to Marcus, tells him something is wrong and he logs onto the X-net, downloads the bug, and all of his work is destroyed. Infuriated, he tries to kill Ange. Van comes out of nowhere and shoots Marcus, killing him. She grabs Ange, and they quickly escape before anyone can see them.
2 days later. Jolu and Darryl in Van’s apartment, watching the news. The newscaster discusses how due to the death of Marcus the whole organization has fallen in on itself and that there is no longer such a major threat.
Van again, sitting alone at Dolores park. Looks pensive, happy. Jolu, Darryl, and Ange come up to her and smile at her. They sit down, engage in a happy conversation. The camera pans out and the scene goes to black. END.
Screenplay
Van: No one could believe it when he did it. Marcus was immediately considered a hero, and how could he not? The DHS had become so obsessed with catching the terrorists that they started to believe everyone was against them. When Marcus took them down we thought we were free of such intense oppression. Looking back, it’s funny how naive we were. Marcus was one of the smartest kids of our time, and he was always so paranoid. I didn’t think it was much of a surprise when he started to go off the deep end, I was always a little skeptical about his plans. Now, four years later, Marcus has turned into a full on tyrant. Whoever isn’t with him is against him, and nowadays Marcus seems to believe everyone’s against him. Something has to be done about him, but everyone either lacks the knowledge or is too afraid that they’ll just be another missing person, another face on a milk carton. Doesn’t matter. I know people that are out there with the knowledge and the resources to be able to take him down. It’s just a matter of time…
Van: Please guys, just meet with me. I know we can do it. You guys were his two best friends in high school, and I know that you have the brains to be able to follow through, Jolu. We can do this. Just meet me at the wharf tomorrow at 4. Really? You guys will? Alright, I’ll see you guys tomorrow. Look discreet, we don’t need Marcus’s VampMobbers on our backs all afternoon, especially at a time like this. I’ll see you guys tomorrow. Look discreet. We don’t need Marcus suspecting any more than he already is. I’ll see you guys tomorrow.
Jolu, Darryl, Van: exchange hellos
Jolu: We didn’t think we were going to hear from you again.
Darryl: Yeah, after Marcus and the VampMob took the DHS down you just completely fell off the map, Van. What happened to you?
Van: Nothing happened, I just felt like it’d be safer that way. Hate to sound condescending, but I kind of had a feeling this would happen from the beginning. Marcus was too paranoid; I could see it from the get-go that he was going to let all of this power corrupt him. You saw how everyone treated him after he won, people loved him. It was only a matter of time you guys.
Darryl: Yeah, I guess. It was hard watching him turn into what he is now. It’s not like we can do anything about it though. He’s too powerful; he’s got too much influence.
Van: That’s why I invited you guys here. You guys are gonna think I’m insane, but I really think that we can bring him down from the inside out.
Jolu, Darryl: Is this a joke? There’s no way that we’d be able to figure out a plan to destroy his mini-empire, much less actually be able to…
Van: It’s so funny how you guys underestimate yourselves. Darryl, you were Marcus’s best friend, and Jolu, you were always his go-to man when he needed anything when it came to programming. I think that if we put our heads together we can actually do this.
**camera starts to pan out**
Van: So I told them the plan. I would work with Jolu on making the ultimate X-net virus—one that would be able to search and destroy any form of the X-net, wireless or not. Darryl would be in charge of figuring out a way of getting Marcus to release the virus. It didn’t seem like it’d be too much of a struggle, just a lot of time.
**screen fades to black**
Darryl: you guys, I think I know how we can get the virus to Marcus.
Van, Jolu: HOW.
Darryl: Ange. Even though her and Marus are still together, I’ve heard that they’ve been having serious problems. She’d probably be down to help us out.
Van: Darryl, that’s awesome. Give her a call, see if she’d be able to give it a shot. Be careful though, we don’t want to put ourselves at risk if she’s not willing to help us out.
Darryl: Don’t worry, I know how to play it. **Dials**
Ringing…ringing…
Ange: Hello?
Seeing as how I'm generally uncreative, I think this is pretty good as far as my skills go. I've successfully branched off of LB's initial plot and have come up with a completely seperate story line that I think would be capable of being it's own independent story. There's still a lot of work to be done, but overall I think it's fairly successful so far.
